The Noyo Chapter of The American Rhododendron Society proudly presents the 33rd Annual John Druecker Memorial Rhododendron Show & Plant Sale. It will be held at Dana Gray Elementary School, 1197 Chestnut Street, Fort Bragg, California on May 1 & 2, 2010. Plants hybridized locally will be featured in this year's theme, "There’s No Place Like Home" with educational displays highlighting the history of rhododendron growing on our coast.
This is a juried show, one of the largest on the west coast with over 700 trusses. Entries, including rhododendron flowers, arrangements, bonsai and photographs, may be brought to the cafeteria on May 1 between 7:00 and 9:00 am. Members will be available to assist in filling out the short entry forms. Judging is from 9:00 to 1:30. The show then opens to the public until 5:00 on Saturday, and from 10:00 to 3:30 on Sunday. Local nurserymen from Celeri & Son, Forest Lane, Descanso and Heartwood nurseries will be on hand.
The local Fort Bragg Elementary school, some events/fairs are hosted at this location.
